Did you volunteer to host the Super Bowl party this year? Did you just realize that it is less than a week away?

Use these tips, tricks, and reminders to have the Super Bowl party of the century.

1. Go Easy on Yourself.

Super Bowl parties are always a blast regardless if your team is playing or if you are just there for the commercials and food. It is almost a guarantee if friends/family are gathered for the game, it will be a good time.

2. Stick With an Easy Menu

For your main meal think simple menu items. More people are bound to enjoy them (picky eaters included) and it will be easier for you. Pizza is always a great hit for the main meal. If you don't want to wait for delivery service, get premade pizzas or get dough and top the pizzas yourself. For appetizers, keep it simple as well. Think chips and dips, veggies, and fruit. These items can easily be served in storage containers and make for an easy cleanup after the party is over. All you have to do is put the lids on and put them away.

3. Decorate Your Space

We love a well-decorated party as much as the next person, but we don't like spending and arm and a leg to achieve our look. For decorations, utilize stores such as the Dollar Store. They typically have plenty of football-themed decor well within a low budget. If they don't have quite what you are looking for, you can always create your own. Get balloons or table cloths in the team colors playing. For example, get red and yellow balloons for the Chiefs and silver, black, and teal for the Eagles.

4. Provide Labels for Cups

To save yourself from going through all of your cups, and to save guests from never remembering which cup is theirs, get name tags to label the cups. This way, guests can keep track of their own. Don't have time to get name tags? That's okay, you can always go old school and write on the cups with Sharpie instead.

5. Make Sure You are Able to Stream the Game

Be sure to double-check that your streaming service or cable provider is airing the game. You don't want to go through all of the work getting your party ready, only to find out you cannot watch the game. Several streaming services will offer the game, but if you aren't already a member, make sure to sign up a few days in advance so there is no delay.

6. Make Sure You Have Enough Seating for all of Your Guests

Although you don't have to have a mansion, you'll want to make sure you have enough seats for all guests, so be sure to get an accurate head count from friends and family planning to come over. If you have to, you can always bring out folding chairs or throw pillows for guest to sit on.

Overall, even if you are planning last minute, don't worry. Your guests will be sure to enjoy your party due to your delicious menu and your great hospitality. Cheer loud and have a blast this Super Bowl Sunday.
